Make Group of Contacts from Groups in Groups was written to address a problem I've been having with sending emails to groups of groups in Entourage 2004. When I try, I get the error "5.0.0 ... User address required". I've grown attached to my self-updating groups, so I made a script that would allow me to keep them.

The script takes a group that includes groups (and groups of groups) and creates a new group containing all of the contacts/addresses from all of the groups.

The new group will have the same name as the old group, except with underscores at the beginning and end of the name (i.e. "_oldGroupName_"). The "Don't show addresses when sending to group" option will be checked. The script will also offer to clean up old versions of "_oldGroupName_".
