With DVDPlusTool users of some DVD+RW/DVD+R writers can set a compatibility option on their DVD+R(W) disks. This can make these disks readable in some problematic DVD players and readers. This is sometimes called 'compatibility bitsetting'.

DVDPlusTool can also be used to wipe a DVD+RW disk using a 'background format'.
This is a beta release. Please test and report your setup and results.

NOTE: This tool is of no use to users of DVD-R(W) writers such as the Apple SuperDrive.

Requirements:
First or second generation DVD+R(W) writer (note the plus; not a DVD-R(W) writer). Compatible drives include Ricoh and HP 2x DVD writers.
