How often have you wanted to modify your iCal from another machine? Apple leaves you out cold, but if you have two AIM screennames (and who doesn't?) you're saved (provided you leave AIM on all the time).

Remote-iCal-Scheduler is an AppleScript that uses your AIM account to watch for IMs from other people
If the IM conatins "newevent" then the script asks a few simple questions such as start time, end time, title, and description and creates a new event on a calendar you've preselected.
