ProteusMenu is a menu extra for Proteus, the best IM-Client for Mac OS X.Even if Proteus is not running, ProteusMenu is visible, same as the iChat menu.

compatible with Proteus 4.08 and up
contact menu is sorted the way you set in Proteus (name, status, service)
rendezvous contacts do now work correctly
animated status display
supporting all Proteus sound, speech and popup (only with Growl) events
supporting remote daemon connection
displays the Offline image if no account is connected
new hidden feature: simple menu like iChat
preferences are now saved inside the default proteus settings file
fixed a bug where the wrong time (the current time) was displayed for incoming messages
fixed a bug where the wrong image was displayed if an incoming message was waiting and you went offline
