Prepare for Archive makes it possible to archive all e-mails in all folders older than a certain date. This function is missing in Entourage 2004. The script makes use of the Project feature in Entourage 2004.
To use it you must first create a project in the Project Center named "Archive".
When you run the script you will be prompted for a date. All e-mails older than the entered date will be assigned to the project named "Archive".
Next you manually have to use the Export function and choose to Export all items belonging to the "Archive" Project. (It's up to you if you want to delete the items in Entourage or not.)
The script will skip the Drafts, Outbox, Deleted Items and Junk E-mail folders, but you can change that in the script yourself. The script will recursively handle all folders and subfolders in "Folders on my computer".
The script is attached. Put it in the "Entourage Script Menu Items" folder inside your Microsoft User Data folder and try it out. I have tested it on my machine and it works fine, but you use it on your own risk. (The script never attempts to Archive or delete anything. It only assigns a project to the mails that fulfil the date criteria.)
