All you need is the ability to export your existing E-Mail database with the standard Lotus Notes export function to a text file - that will be picked up by NotesConverter and translated into a UNIX style mailbox file.
Conserving Your Attachments
The exported Lotus Notes E-Mail database does not contain any attachments anymore. Doesn't matter - NotesConverter searches your disk for your attachments and inserts them into the UNIX style mailbox file. Connecting your attachments to your e-mails again.
