Group Sort (Entourage) will sort the group entries (group members) of either a selected group in the Address Book, or one or more groups you choose from a list, or all your groups whatever you choose into alphabetical order by last name in one quick pass.
All group members who are contacts with default email address are displayed with the “little man” contact icon with proper linkage to the Address Book, but will also maintain non-contact group memers with the @ icon.
After running this script, all the group members’ names with their e-mail addresses will appear in their Group windows in alphabetical order by surname (or only name), including even Group members who are not proper contacts dragged from the Address Book but who have been added by typing in their names and e-mail addresses.
This will apply to every Group in your Address Book. Group entries without display names (i.e. consisiting of e-mail addresses only) are listed alphabetically at the top of the list, although Entourage’s format here does not include signs around the addresses.
There is a dialog box at the end to tell you it’s ?nished.
