What does dropAppearance do? Drag and drop a file (or a folder of files) on dropAppearance and it changes your Mac's appearance setting to the one associated with that file. For a folder of files it selects a random file.

Appearance settings currently supported are Desktop Pictures, iCab Appearances, Startup Movies, Startup Screens, Sound Sets and Theme Files. Theme Files and Sound Sets are copied to the correct folder (if the file is a newer version or the file does not already exist) and then changed to.

How do I use it? Drag a file or a folder onto it. Double clicking on drop Appearance will let you setup its international settings. Pressing cancel on any of the selection boxes means your the current Prefs setting will be kept. The international settings are stored as a text file called Prefs in the Goodies folder. The Prefs file is compatible with the Prefs from The Sets Manager 2.1 and Appearance Randomiser 1.2.

Where do I get themes, desktop pictures or sound sets? As a good start you can get themes at Mac Themes, some good soundsets can be found at themes.hellyeah.com and for really good desktop pics try MacDesktops.

Requirements:
AppleScript.
