CouchPotato is a Media Center application for MacOS X (and soon GNUstep). It is freely extendable by plugins, which can change the look and feel, such as skins (changing the look and feel), applications (movie/DVD player etc.), file discoveries, and others. It can be controlled by IR remote control and the keyboard.

In the current alpha stage, only movie playing is supported; DVD and music players, photo show and home automation modules are planned.

Included and working plugins are:

• Movie playback
• Discovery of files in ~/Movies, on CD/DVD and in a custom file list
• Remote control by IRTrans.

What's New:
Crashes and glitches in Music player fixed.
Hang in About screen fixed.
Font handling warns about missing fonts now.
Support for dual monitor setups.
Find IRTrans more reliably.
Delayed movie previews increase UI responsiveness.
