BSmooth creates terrain models with 65536 levels for Bryce, the software for digital landscape creation made by MetaCreations (formerly known as metatools).

Other 3D software is supported as well through DXF, though using this option use a lot of hard disk space.

BSmooth creates native Bryce scene files which contain a terrain in full vertical resolution (16-bit). These files can be merged into existing scenes or used as basis for creating new ones. The modeler has numerous options, some vector based (using AI input format), some pixelbased (PICT & TGA), and DEMs in GTOPO30 format.
