You've got a folder full of files like "DSC1.jpg" and you want to change all their names so that they're more like, "RomeTrip1.jpg".

What do you do? There are very few options:

(1) If you're a UNIX/Mac person then you can use regular expressions, and pipes, and 'ls' and put it all together, and hope that you don't mess it all up and overwrite all your files with the same name by mistake.

(2) If you're a Windows person then you can use the CMD file rename command, and hope that your filenames don't get bigger than the 8.3 allowed by DOS.

Or you can use Aispire File Renamer!

Here are some key features of "AispireRenamer":
You can treat the filenames as being made up of 'chunks', and apply rules to each chunk.
Rules can include:
"keep this chunk the same",
"change it to something new",
"let it vary across filenames as it currenly does",
"add/subtract/prefix/append something to the chunk."
You can check all exactly what will happen to your file names before you commit to changing them
You can have as few or as many chunks as you need, to give you maximum flexibility.
