VSamp is a program and VST plugin that turns the Macintosh into an OMS or FreeMIDI and Sound Manager compatible multi timbral sample playback module.
Configured like a simple sampler, VSamp can be setup to playback on 16 MIDI channels with up to 64 samples per channel, mapped and enveloped to user-defined configurations. This can then be driven by an OMS or FreeMIDI-compatible sequencer, or the included application 'OMSThru' running on the same computer.
The VSamp VST plugin enables you to have access to the audio output of VSamp from within your VST-2 compatible sequencer for additional processing and mixing.
Here are some key features of "VSamp":
128 voice polyphony.
24-bit / 192kHz support.
Resonant lowpass filters with realtime control.
Low frequency oscillators to modulate pitch and filters.
A VST and AudioUnits plugin for playing VSamp instruments and banks from within Cubase, Logic, Garageband, Performer and other sequencers.
Very stable and CPU-efficient sample player.
Import SampleCell and SoundFont samples and keymaps.
