UUID Generator is a free and simple Mac OS X application for generating UUIDs. It allows you to simply create UUIDs and copy the resulting string into your header and source code files.

A UUID (Universally Unique Identifer), also known as GUID or IID, is a 128-bit value guaranteed to be unique. See Apple's documentation on CFUUID for complete details.

Preferences to select how to format the output and where to output it to
UUID can be output as a hyphen-punctuated string, individual bytes, or in a format suitable for direct use as a CFPlugInFactoryID
UUID is output to the GUI, but also can be sent to stdout or the Clipboard
