I'm not really sure why I did this. I recently created a dashboard widget for an RPN calculator (rpnCalc) and it was a fun exercise. That was something useful though. I wanted to do another widget, but something that tended more towards the fanciful.
My buddy Marc has a daily calendar of Bush quotes. It's quite the event as he reads the quote of the day to the gathered masses in the morning. I thought, hey, I could share this delightful experience with the world at large by creating a widget. So, If the DailyTao is not presenting you with enough befuddlement on your desktop, I now give you wSpeak—a widget that gives you a daily quote from our 43rd president,George W. Bush.
The Outlaw Widget
For some unknown reason, this widget is too hot to handle at some other download sites. One of them flat-out refuses to list it on their site. Another one listed it for about two hours and then took it down. That's okay, no problem there. Showing actually undoctored quotes from the president, well that's getting too hot to handle. What a bunch of wusses!
