TFTP Server helps you to use & configure the TFTP server shipped with the standard Mac OS X distribution. With this app you can easily start/stop the TFTP server and change the path where the files are sent and received from TFTP clients (e.g. Cisco routers and switches) which connect to your Mac acting as TFTP server.
This is useful if you have a lot of network devices and want to store all their configuration text files and operating system binary images in a safe place.
These files can also be reused later (as is or modified using a text editor on your Mac) to easily configure from scratch or update other similar devices.
Due to major changes made by Apple to all network services that relied upon the underlying xinetd superdaemon, the TftpServer applications doesn't yet work with Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger". I hope to fix this compatibility issue later.
What's New:
The TFTP server config file used by Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is now checked for corruption and eventually restored to its default settings (this was already implemented for Panther)
When running Tiger the xinetd super-daemon is started only if it was already running berfore launching the TftpServer app.
