syncupX is your easy to use daily backup tool!
Want to backup only the purchased songs out of your itunes music library? just create a "saved search" listing all protected AAC files and add this saved search to syncupx via drag&drop or the "add" menue. done. syncupx will backup all your purchased songs at the next backup. using the power of spotlight you can easily define a complete new kind of backup sets like "documents opened today" etc.
SyncupX is already a "universal binary" that runs natively on Intel based Macs.
syncupX performs an incremental backup of one or more sets of source files, folders to a target.
With SyncupX you can use Spotlights saved searches as backup items. That way files found by that searches can be backed up or excluded. Telling SyncupX to "backup all files changed during the last week", "backup only purchased music out of the iTunes library" or "exclude all files with a red label", is just one click.
SyncupX stores all your files as they are inside the backup, including your backup configuration. You can take out individual files anytime. In case of emergency, when everything is lost, just reselect your backup with SyncupX and restore your files with one click.
Some people need to do that Unix stuff. Like running backups via ssh or cron. SyncupX allows you run backups from the commandline as well.
