Fractals are a wonderful thing. So is shameless self-promotion. Combine the two and you have Subsume, your friendly neighborhood 2D binary fractal screen saver.

Subsume puts small squares on your screen, subsuming them into larger ones as the screen fills.

Subsume works best, by its very nature, on a square, power-of-2 screen resolution. You probably don't have a monitor like that. We certainly don't have one, and would appreciate pointers in getting one. Barring that, a rectangular power-of-2 screen works pretty darn nice, too. We don't have one of those either, so we did development and testing on various 1024x768 and 1280x1024 machines. The effect on other monitor dimensions can probably be improved by allowing more flexible control of the base square size.

You can control certain aspects of Subsume using the very obvious configuration controls:
* You can set the base size of the squares using the nifty power-of-2 slider.
* You can set the repeat style with the not-so-nifty-but-very-functional popup menu.
* You can set it so that the subsumption progressively darkens the screen as squares are subsumed.
* You can set whether or not the subsumption is animated (fading flash). The subsumption process is naturally faster without the animation.
* You can set whether or not a "grid" border gets drawn. Without the grid or animation or progressive, Subsume is visually uninteresting!
* You can set it to draw really damn fast; beware the CPU suckage.

What's New:
Built as a Universal Binary, but untested on x86!
Other various changes.
