Stripper is a multi-CPU-aware drag-and-drop utility for fixing line-endings and other problems in text files, and for recovering text from non-text files.
Stripper can convert multiple text files to/from Mac OS X line endings (LF), Mac Classic line endings (CR) and Windows line endings (CR+LF or LF+CR).
Stripper can also compress whitespace, expand tabs, perform case conversions, and rejoin lines into paragraphs. This version includes a minor bug fix. Stripper now handles multiple CR+LF and LF+CR sequences correctly.
Here are some key features of "Stripper":
Changing line-endings to conform with various conventions
Forcing case changes
Joining lines into paragraphs
Stripping high bits
Discarding control characters
Compressing runs of white-space or expanding tabs.
What's New:
Stripper can now open multiple files via the File>Open command.
Stripper now searches its preferences file for the key AdditionalTextFileExtensions which is assumed to be an array containing a list of strings, each of which is a file extension. Extensions added in this fashion are respected during drag and drop. There is additional information in the online help.
