QTFileTransfer is a REALbasic plugin that uses QuickTime to transfer a file from an URL to a FolderItem.
It's a fairly straightforward plugin with various options. The plugin supports 68K, PPC-classic, Carbon/OSX and WIN32 with QuickTime installed. The plugin does asynchronous downloads, and has a global method to enhance downloading speed. Speed is also proportional to chunk-size (packet size) you can adjust.
