MacR–1 is the help package for MacR–1, a control and memory program for the Icom IC-PCR1 communications receiver.
This program was independently written using my own PCR1 and information publicly available on the Web. It is not in any way an Icom product, and you should understand that neither Icom nor I warrant that your radio will behave reliably, or will be unharmed, from using this program.
I have learned from experience that it is possible to hang a PCR1 or even throw it out of alignment through careless use of apparently-harmless receiver commands.
Limitations:
Registration screen at shutdown.
Requirements:
A Macintosh with a G3 or later processor.
Mac OS X version 10.3 or later.
An RS-232 or RS-422 serial port, typically provided by installing a USB-to-serial adapter or a PCI card.
At least 256 MB of RAM.
3.5 MB of free disk space.
