Mac the Scope is a professional quality signal analyzer, vector trace oscilloscope and 1/3 octave RTA.

The Console user interface intentionally is designed to resemble a traditional scope. Modality is avoided where possible, thanks to the Macintosh user-event-driven paradigm. The scope Console is supplemented, where appropriate, with other configuration panels.

The interface is designed to present the most commonly-used features in a simple, accessible manner. Settings can be changed at will, without having to navigate through a series of menus or dialog boxes. Returning to default settings is an easy, one-click operation, and custom configurations can be saved for quick recall.

Here are some key features of "Mac the Scope":
Uses native Mactintosh sound input capabilities or third party I/O device support (via Apple CoreAudio)
Sound output port may simultaneously be used for test signal generation ("full duplex") with Waavebox
Offline file analysis: arbitrary sample rates (up to 2 GHz), 8 / 16 / 20 / 24 / 32 bits per sample, arbitrary number of channels, AIFF and Sound Designer II file support
The 1/3 octave RTA pioneered the use of digitally implemented analog filters (as we demonstrated in 1999 at MacWorld Expo, San Francisco, and at the Audio Engineering Society Convention in New York) for unprecedented amplitude accuracy, out of band signal rejection and transient response for an RTA on a personal computer.

What's New:
Support for Mac OS X 10.4 ("Tiger").
Improved compatibility with mono block mode devices, such as Digidesign MBox, particularly in precision swept sine measurement mode.
Waavebox setup scripts, similar to Mac the Scope setup scripts, now must be executed from the application folder (after launching Mac the Scope or Waavebox).
