As its name implies, Mac Remote Control is an application that allows you to control a Mac remotely.
Mac Remote Control shows you a list of the applications currently running on the remote Mac.
You can quit any or all of the applications currently running, and launch other ones. You can also restart, shut down or put to sleep the machine. New in version 1.1 is the ability to wake up a sleeping Mac. Finally there is a convenience built in to toggle the active state of OSXvnc.
If the Mac can be accessed over TCP/IP on your local area network (LAN) or over the Internet, and it's configured correctly, Mac Remote Control can control it.
Here are some key features of "Mac Remote Control":
Quit and launch applications remotely.
Restart, shut down, put to sleep and wake up the Mac remotely.
Toggle OSXvnc on and off.
Localized in english and french.
What's New:
Added the Wake Up button.
Minor rework of the user interface.
Removal of the beta expiration date.
Requirements:
For the computer running Mac Remote Control, Mac OS X 10.2 or higher, including 10.3.
For the remote computer, I'm honestly not sure. I have tested it with Mac OS X 10.2 and 10.3 only, but it might work with older versions. Classic Mac OS is not supported.
