We suggest running with Mac OS X version 10.2.8, or Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or newer.
You are about to install or upgrade software which may have several effects on your M-Audio USB devices. The software will:
• provide the latest audio drivers for the M-Audio Transit USB.
• provide the latest firmware for the following devices:
• Keystation 49 and 61
• MIDISPORT 1x1, 2x2, 2x4, 4x4, and 8x8
• MobilePre USB
• Oxygen8
• Ozone
• Radium
• Sonica
• Transit USB
• Uno
• upgrade the firmware if necessary on the following devices:
• Audiophile USB
If you have installed any of the known third-party drivers for these devices, this installer will remove those drivers to avoid conflicts.
If you are running "Classic" (pre-OS X) applications, you will need to use a different driver set, available from M-Audio's website:
http://www.m-audio.com/support/driversearch.php
Note: Classic MIDI and audio applications should not be expected to work under OS X. You must boot into OS 8/9 to use audio and MIDI devices.
Once you have completed installation, connect the device to a USB port on your computer. (We do not recommend the use of USB hubs with our devices.)
What's New:
Fixed a problem that could prevent the Transit from loading when it is connected to the computer at start-up time.
Fixed a problem that could cause audio to fail after the computer wakes from sleep.
Fixed a problem that occasionally caused the driver settings to not match the preferences panel settings when the Transit was plugged into the computer while the computer started up.
