InterCal 2.1 review
DownloadInterCal is a date conversion program.

|
InterCal is a date conversion program. It is not an appointment calendar. It displays calendars, one month at a time, in any of its implemented calendar systems.
Implemented systems are:
• Gregorian
• Julian
• Western Historical (a hybrid of Gregorian and Julian)
• Jewish
• Islamic
• French Revolutionary
• Chinese
• Mayan
• Persian—new in version 2.1
• Afghan —new in version 2.1
• Elliott Super.
InterCal is useful for genealogical or historical research, or just for fun.
It is easy to jump around in time, from year to year or month to month. The only limitation on how far you can jump is set by the finite word size of the computer. (An exception is the Chinese, as explained in the supplied "Calendar System Facts" document.)
Certain religious holydays can be highlighted and labeled in the month display.
The user can select any single day and see its equivalent in all implemented systems. Simultaneously, every day in the displayed month can have its equivalent in one other calendar system shown.
What's New:
Version 2.1 adds the Persian and Afghan calendars.
Users may now define their own dates to be highlighted, similar to the way religious holidays work.
Dutch localization has been updated by Frans van Bodegom.
