Interarchy is the standard in file-transfer software for Macintosh users running Mac OS X.

Interarchy has been entirely revamped for Mac OS X, bringing new heights of power and versatility to its users. With Interarchy you can efficiently and reliably fetch, edit, or transmit files to any kind of Internet server using FTP, SFTP, or HTTP. Common uses include setting up Web sites, long-distance transfer of data, or remote server administration. Interarchy also supports other common Internet protocols including ping, traceroute, DNS lookup, and packet sniffing.

Because Interarchy is standards-compliant, it will work with servers running on any operating system, including Windows and Unix. Interarchy allows you to easily control every aspect of the file transfer process. It gives you auxiliary testing tools to help diagnose connection problems with your server. It offers a variety of automation features that allow you to cache, group, queue, delay, and repeat transfers, all within a familiar Mac OS Finder-like interface. Interarchy integrates tightly with your Web browser, the Finder, text and image editors, and other tools to let you get your job done easily.

Interarchy delivers on the promise of streamlining complex file transfer needs.

Interarchy allows you to easily control every aspect of the file transfer software process. It gives you auxiliary testing tools to help diagnose connection problems with your server. It offers a variety of automation features that allow you to cache, group, queue, delay and repeat transfers all within a familiar Mac OS Finder-like interface. Interarchy is also very fast - 30 Megabytes per second fast.

We have seen other people report that this or that FTP or SFTP client is the fastest. What rubbish is what we say. Interarchy can transfer files over gigabit ethernet as fast as they can be written to disk, that is, in excess of 30 Megabytes per second. That is a Gigabyte in around half a minute. Nothing anywhere can beat that on any normal Mac - it is limited by harddisk speed! Next time you see someone claim their client is fast, check the numbers, and if they are talking about speeds of less that 30 Megabytes per second, they are not even testing transfer speeds, they are simply misleading you.

What makes these foolish claims even more nonsensical is that the actual speed of a transfer is largely irrelevant (who has gigabit ethernet anyway?) - what is important is that Interarchy enables you to work faster. We have streamlined the whole process of working with FTP/SFTP servers so you can be finished sooner. That is what you should be concerned about. The fact that Interarchy also happens to transfer so fast is just a bonus!

Interarchy was previously called Anarchie and Anarchie Pro, and is sometimes misspelled as Interarchie, Interanarchy or Interanarchie and previously Anarchy.
