Digital Media Support
InqScribe supports a wide range of digital audio and video formats, including the following common formats:
• QuickTime Movies
• MPEG, MPEG2, and MPEG4
• AIFF, WAV, AAC, and MP3 audio
• Many AVI formats.
Because InqScribe relies on QuickTime to handle media display, the program supports many more formats than shown here. You can view a complete list of QuickTime-supported formats on Apple's QuickTime site.
InqScribe can access media files from your local hard drive, optical disk drive, networked file server, and the Internet.
If you're not sure if InqScribe supports a particular media format, contact us and we'll let you know.
Import and Export Support
InqScribe can import and export data in the following formats:
• HTML
• Plain text
• Tab-delimited text
• XML
Tab-delimited and XML formats are suitable for importing into database and other data analysis applications. InqScribe can parse your transcripts and automatically generate a series of data records, using embedded timecodes as record markers.
Unicode Support
InqScribe is Unicode savvy. All the data you create within InqScribe is stored (and exported) in UTF8 format. Multiple languages can even be used within a single file!
Here are some key features of "InqScribe":
Easy to Use
Easy to Install
Supports Audio and Video Files
Embeds Timecodes Within Text
Easy Export to Analysis Software
Custom Keyboard Shortcuts
Control Playback Speed

Work and Share Files Cross Platform.
Limitations:
By default, InqScribe runs in what we call unlicensed mode. In this mode, everything works, with these exceptions.
• You can't save documents.
• You can't export transcripts. (Note, however, that copy and paste still work.)
• You can't export subtitled movies.
• You can't print transcripts.
You can use InqScribe in unlicensed mode for as long as you want.
