GPSd is an internet daemon for connecting to and sharing a single GPS device among multiple client programs running on one or many computers. It is also an extremely easy way to add GPS functionality to your own software.

gpsdX is a Universal Binary build of GPSd, complete with an installer and a GUI configuration utility that makes it easy to set up the daemon on your system.
gpsdX works with any program that supports GPSd (such as gpsdrive, KisMac or gps2geX)

if your GPS software doesn't support it yet, contact the developer and tell them about GPSd!

What's New:
Updated to match a version bump in the GPSd project
Disk image re-created to reduce download size substantially
Incorporates new (developmental) command to allow clients to query the buffering logic in use
No other significant changes - users with version 1.4 need not upgrade.

Requirements:
a GPS unit compatible with your computer
one or more GPSd client programs.
