GimmeSomeTune is a utility that works hand in hand with iTunes. It is a status item in the right menu bar and hides itself behind a musical note.

With GimmeSomeTune, you get a floating window that shows you cover, title, artist, album, duration and rating of the currently playing song.

Every time a new song starts up in iTunes, GimmeSomeTune pops up a floating, translucent window with informations about the song for a duration that you specify. After this time, the GimmeSomeTune window disappears again.

You can change the color of the window and the text, you can change the translucency of your window and the amount of time for how long the window will be displayed.
