Display Overlord gives you an open source plugin for REALbasic that offers methods and classes to control video display resolution, refresh rate, colour depth, and brightness. Additional methods are provided to gather display information such as available modes and current screen metrics.

Display Overlord was specifically designed for multimedia applications, games, or other kiosk-like projects. The plugin gracefully handles multiple displays, and captures screens before switching resolutions to avoid repositioning desktop icons or disturbing open application windows.

Installing Display Overlord

Place the Display Overlord Plugin.rbx file included in this distribution into your REALbasic Plugins folder (next to the REALbasic application on your hard drive). Note that you may need to create the Plugins folder if it does not exist. Re-launch the REALbasic IDE to complete the installation.
