Diaporamer allows to create a temporary scrapbook of live mini pages, which can be watched, maintained, removed or let them reload in the default browser, by simply dropping in the wanted URL’s without leaving the browser.
What is the advantage of creating bookmarks that cannot be saved?
• For temporary select the pages that need a later review but not necessary need to be bookmarked in the browser.
• To open and preview a set of URL’s with a single drop
• To monitor dynamic pages concurrently
• To have a “diaporama” of live images/videos
• To easily select and bookmark only the pages that really need
• To have and see all the selected pages in one place at the same time
Think of that as a tray initially empty where to drop all the URL's you like, from everywhere, browsers or not, even from itself, by simply picking a URL text or graphic elements from any html page.
You may use it for temporary bookmark sites without "dirt" the browser bookmarks list. Particularly handy for quickly pre-select URL's without leaving the main browsing path in your browser and postpone to later their review, with the added value of viewing them all at once for picking only the preferred ones.
Finally you can use it to have a panoramic of live pages or a photos show.
Here are some key features of "Diaporamer":
Diaporamer, a crazy new product from small tomatoes:
The UI presents a main tray where the pages are loaded and shown, these pages can be selected by point-clicking for being re-opened in the default browser or removed by hitting "esc" key.
A control palette presents a "drop zone" where the URL elements picked from elsewhere (from other applications or other pages from within the tray) can be dropped. It also allows to change the pages size progressively and make the tray more or less transparent.
Conceptually equivalent to (h)iStoryboard, it adds some UI enhancements:
Its control palette is floating above all other applications so that a "drop zone" is always accessible; the "transparent" control transforms the main window to a floating, transparent also to mouse clicks, top front board where it is possible to watch the progress of pages while continuing to navigate the browser behind it and collect the addresses to be dropped.
Limitations:
The shareware is fully functional; it needs a license to unlock it accepting more then the limited number of pages.
