Cypher provides a basic graphical user interface for several of MacOS X's shell commands. From the main window of Cypher, you have easy access to a list of currently logged on users, previous users, and your processes list. You can also view the last thousand lines in your console log, webserver log, and ftp log. Cypher also keeps track of your uptime, ip address, and system load averages.

It updates its dock icon with the current number of online users, the numbers of online users connected remotely, and the current uptime of your computer. You can control the text size, font, and color through the preferences. You can also choose any TIFF or JPG image for the text to be drawn on top of.
