Amadeus II lets you use your Mac OS computer for many sound-related applications, such as live audio recording, digitizing tapes and records, sampling from any external source and for editing and analyzing Mp3, Ogg Vorbis, AIFF, SoundDesigner II, QuickTime or WAVE files.

Thanks to its powerful direct-to-disk abilities, you can easily and rapidly edit large sounds of sizes up to 2GB (3 hours of CD quality music!).

The handling of large sounds is facilitated by Amadeus' ability to show simultaneously the whole sound and the portion on which you are currently working and the extensive support of markers.

Amadeus II is particularly suitable for transferring old vinyl records on CD.

Here are some key features of "Amadeus II":
Support of the Mp3 and Ogg Vorbis codecs that allow you to achieve very low file sizes, while preserving most of the original quality of your sounds.
Support for the Mp4 and .m4a formats (MacOS 10.4 or later required).
Support of VST Audio plugins. This plugin format allows you access to many professional sound effects from within Amadeus II. Several free plugins are included with this distribution. The effects of VST plugins can be previewed in real-time and an arbitrary number of settings can be saved for each plugin.
Sound repairing functions. Amadeus II allows you to easily remove background noise and/or little cracks from a recording, making it the ideal tool for restoring old LP's.
Analyzing functions. It is very easy to create sonograms or to make a detailed spectral analysis of a signal using Amadeus II.

Limitations:
File saving and real-time analyzing functions are disabled after 15 non-consecutive days of use

What's New:
Fixes a bug that would cause intermittent crashes on MacOS 10.4.6.
