ZSNES for Mac (Intel only) is the port of the famous Super Nintendo emulator written in nearly 80% x86 assembler.

Installation of SDL is simple, simply drag the SDL.framework folder into /Library/Frameworks.  ZSNES does not create any preference files, its config files, save rams and save states are stored in ~/.zsnes, where ~ denotes your home folder.
What's New:
Enabled VSync in OpenGL video modes.

Requirements:
SDL framework, version 1.2.10 or above.
