Ogg Drop is a freeware application that will encode AIFF and AIFC (.aif) sound files as well as Audio CD Tracks, uncompressed QuickTime soundtracks, and System Sound files into an Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) file.

Ogg Vorbis is an alternative to many other encoding formats such as MP3. It provides higher quality output, and is entirely free! Oggs can be played using iTunes, thanks to the included QuickTime component by Steve Nicolai.

What's New:
Pending any minor bug fixes, this will be the last Carbon based Ogg Drop. The next version will be Cocoa based. No major changes were added to this version for that reason.
Built with Ogg Vorbis libraries 1.1
Built with XCode 2.1
Includes QuickTime Component for QuickTime 7 Support, thanks to Arek Korbik: http://zskl.zsk.p.lodz.pl/~skali/oggvorbis.html
Vorbis libs now included as internal frameworks
QuickTime Component installer now separated.
