Time saving features for commercial pilots
Easily indicate whether you operated as pilot in command, second in command, flight engineer, relief crew, or if you carried out the landing or were flying under supervision simply by checking the appropriate box. You can also easily keep track of your on and off duty times.
But that's not all, LogTen Pro also remembers what you've entered in the past. So almost every text field will auto-complete as you start typing, or you can select from a menu of past entries.
If you choose to track departure and arrival times for your flight then the pilot in command time will automatically be calculated as the difference between the two. If you regularly use the same aircraft you can use the Aircraft Manager to specify a default aircraft for every flight.
Powerful Reporting and Printing
Create full reports with the touch of a button. Select from default styles, or build your own completely custom templates using HTML. LogTen Pro also gives you the power to customize what columns are in your reports, and what the column headings are without having to modify any HTML.
Customizable Interface
Not only can you decide which columns are important to you by add the columns you use most, arranging them in the order you like, and removing the ones you don't need, with LogTen Pro you can change any of the column titles to whatever you like. Rather have LDG than Landings? You can change everything to abbreviations if you like, or completely rename them if you want to use them to track something different!
Fast Searching, the Mac OS X way
To find a flight simply start typing information in the search field.
Smart Filters
Much like iTunes' well known smart playlists, you can create "filters" that define criteria for commonly searched for information; select a filter by clicking on it and your list of flights is immediately updated to reflect the filter. LogTen Pro gives you complete control, allowing you to search on any combination of fields.
Specify whether you operate under JAA/AESA or FAA regulations
LogTen Pro allows you to select either the JAR log style or the FAR log style. This will change the column headers approriately such as displaying PIC as P1, SIC as P2, and Aircraft ID as Reg. This setting also affects the rules used for calculating your medical and day/night/instrument currency.
You can also choose to display your times in decimal or hours and minutes (note that you can always enter your time in either format and LogTen Pro will automatically convert it).
Import your existing data
LogTen Pro will import your data from virtually any existing source. Simply select import under the File menu and you will be presented with four easy steps to import your information.
Export
Want to look at your data in a spreadsheet? Need to move data to a another computer platform? LogTen Pro will allow you to easily export your data as a tab delimited text file, CSV (good for Excel), or XML.
Powerful SQL Database Engine
Your data is stored in an extremely reliable and very fast embedded SQL database.
Easy Backups
All your data is stored in one file, Data.logten, found in your home directory under Library/Application Support/LogTen/. Your data is now in sql format which makes it easy to import into other databases, and all you have to backup is this one data file.
Simple Upgrades
All your data is completely separate from any application logic and interface. Therefore future updates can easily be installed without any painful manual importing of data.
Unlimited Custom Properties
