FontExplorer X sets a new standard for font management software. After several relatively sad years for all font users who were looking for a professional font manager, Linotype is pleased to fill the gap with the new FontExplorer X. Font management has never been so simple, and font sorting, font shopping and font discovery are now more fun than ever. FontExplorer X gives computer users all the font functions they could need, and lets them decide how deeply they wish to dive into various font themes.

What's New:
The update of Linotype FontExplorerâ„¢ X to version 1.1 delivers overall improvements in nearly every area and is recommended for all users.

Activation of single fonts in a suitcase (Mac OS X 10.4 only)

Creating a new Set by dropping fonts on the sources list did not update the information area correctly
Dragging fonts out of the font list sometimes did not work correctly
Dragging non-font files in the Sources list did create a Set for each file after restarting FontExplorer X

Exporting Sets or fonts with a slash in the name or a dot as prefix did not work correctly

The HTML code for a character in the information window was not displayed correctly
Umlauts weren't shown correctly for the information in Mac PostScript fonts
