JView allows you to open up and view different image formats including JPEG, GIF, TIF, BMP, PICT and ICNS formats.
What makes it most different from Apple's Preview?

JView uses the actual dimension specified in the bitmap binary. Some images downloaded from the web or newsgroups are not well 'terminated' - have lost their 'end of image' bytes so that Preview will not be able to render them. JView will try to fix it automatically if that kind of images is encountered and render them correctly.Several zoom options are provided.

Auto' zoom means the image will be resized while the window is being resized, and of course the ratio is maintained. 'Fit to Screen' means if the image is bigger than the screen it is scaled at a lower percentage so that it can be shown fully on the screen without scrollers.

What's New:
New random navigation.
New icons by Milos Krsmanovic.
Scroll wheel is supported now. You have 3 options to choose what you like it to do for you in the preferences panel.
Zoom in and zoom out.
Two more copy options to allow you copy the image in its original size or just copy the visible area.
Animated GIF support but not in slideshow mode.
Key scrollings were improved. As you are scrolling the image by holding down any of the arrow keys, the scrolling speed will be accelerated gradually.
Make some behaviors standard now. For exampke, the key scrolling speeds were no longer adjustable in the preferences panel, however, you're still able to change the values in JView.plist.
Major bugs in save as and the cache were fixed. Many minor bugs were fixed.
