FileRenamer is used to change file names of items contained within a selected folder.
There are several ways by which file names may be changed. One way is by using sequence numbers preceded with an optional string.

Another way is by using find and replace rules for unwanted strings and characters. And still another way is to write your own name changer AppleScript that FileRenamer calls. The file extensions may be changed or left alone. Written in AppleScript Studio.

What's New:
Added UNDO!!! In the Preferences panel, if you check the UNDO checkbox, then an applescript is written to the folder containing the FileRenamer program which will allow you to UNDO the LAST file name change you performed - even if it was using recursion. This UNDO file only contains the LAST name changes. You will open it with the Script Editor and RUN it to perform the UNDO.
