Many of you may know the problem: Handling images for placing them into eBay auctions is way too complicated. Basically it is not much work, but if you want to prepare 20 auctions, the work is far too much…

eBayize is a pythonscript (console aswell as GUI), that resizes and beautifies your images for placing them into an eBay offer. Starting with giving the path to the folder where the images are stored, eBayize previews all images. Then, after selecting which ones you want or do not want, you can edit them (GIMP starts up) or open them in full size.

After you have entered a description for each image, eBayize will resize all images, put a nice border around them (with dropshadows, using imagemagick) and generate an HTML-file with the sourcecode of the gallery. It then uploads the generated files via SCP or FTP (depends on your configuration).

Requirements:
Because there is not yet a native GTK port for Mac OS X, you have to use X11. X11 can be installed from the installation DVD if it is not already installed.
The other requirements (with the exception of gimageview, but we will use gqview instead) can be fullfilled via darwinports. This command is enough: sudo port install ImageMagick py-gtk2 python24 gimp2 gedit gqview exiv2.
