DiskTracker is a powerful cataloging utility that helps you keep track of your offline files. If you have a number of removable media disks, DiskTracker is ideal.

It will maintain a local directory of the files on the removable disks, and you can search for files without actually having to insert the removable media.

The search result resembles the view you would see in the Finder.

Here are some key features of "DiskTracker X":
View the contents of scanned disks in a familiar, easy-to-use MacOS-style list
Automatically scan disks, even when DiskTracker isn't running, with the DiskTracker Extension (classic Mac OS only)
Built-in virtual memory scheme enables DiskTracker to handle the largest volumes and CD-ROMs, even when allocated only 1500KB of RAM (classic Mac OS only)
Intelligent background disk scanner scans and updates mounted volumes/servers and removable media
Scan the contents of StuffIt (all versions, including StuffIt 5) and Compact Pro archives
Drag & Drop copy and move between the Finder and DiskTracker
Fast, multi-parameter searches on 22 different criteria
Complete disk labeling system for convenient and professional disk label creation and printing
Draw label templates with the built-in MacDraw(tm)-style editor, featuring powerful file-lists and rotatable styled text
Fat binary application runs native on both PPC and 68k Macs and natively under Mac OS X.

Limitations:
30 days trial.

What's New:
Fix bug causing DiskTracker to not launch properly on some installations of Mac OS X Tiger (10.4).
Update user manual/read me with correct installation instructions.
