Pre-release of our brand new media center application! With Salling Clicker support.

XHub is a full-screen Media Center application for the Macintosh, inspired by Apple's Front Row.
With XHub you can listen to music, view photo albums, play DVDs and watch subtitled movies of almost any media format (DivX, VIDEO_TS, etc).

Unlike other media center solutions, XHub is controlled with your Bluetooth-equipped cell phone or PDA using either the great shareware utility Salling Clicker or the freeware alternative Romeo (plug-in to be added). No need for an Apple remote control! Artwork, player state, repeat and shuffle status, media name and length, etc, is displayed on your handheld.

Best of all: You don't need to stay in sight of your monitor to control XHub. The browse menus are displayed directly on your handheld. You can also execute all commands right from the keypad, without having to go in and out of menus.

XHub uses a built-in version of Mplayer - the movie player for Linux. This means you can enjoy all the DivX movies Front Row won't play. With subtitles! XHub automatically finds and loads subtitles of most formats.

Unlike Front Row, browsing music, movies and photo albums is quick and easy. Simply type the first letter, or a part of the name, to jump to the music, movie or photo album of your choice. XHub also retrieves data from your music library much faster than Front Row. In addition, XHub lets you watch movie trailers from the Internet, set music's repeat mode and shuffle status, and manage playlists on-the-fly.

You can set the rating of a song, skip to an upcoming track or even wipe it from the current playlist. Movies module has all commands that Mplayer has. It also supports playback of VIDEO_TS folders. DVD module allows bookmark, chapter and video clip selection.
