viewyuv is a straightforward freeware native Cocoa YUV viewer for the Mac. Lots of these exist for windows, less so for the mac, so here you go.

People working in the video compression field may find this program useful.

The app will only read files with a ".yuv" file extension in YUV 4:2:0 planar format, and requires that the dimensions of the image be present in the filename. For example, a file such as "foreman_176x144.yuv" is a valid name, while "freds_qcif_image.yuv420" is not.
