There is one nifty little feature in iTunes that I love: the ability to type part of an artist/album/song name and bring up a list of songs which match. The only downside to this toy is the need for bringing iTunes to the fore, which oftentimes means reloading the interface into working memory (a sometimes very time-consuming task).

TuneSift solves the problem by instantaneously providing an universal interface to the search feature while keeping iTunes fully in the background. When a specific key combination is invoked, the TuneSift search command panel and results list come to the fore.

Here are some key features of "TuneSift":
search/browse through the library remotely
toggle shuffle status remotely
add songs to playlists remotely
back/forward track, playpause, shuffle via universal hotkeys.
