Safe Place is an application designed to securely store your passwords, credit card numbers, software registration numbers, or any other information you want to keep handy and safe from prying eyes.

Safe Place organizes your information into categories, which you can completely customize.

We've preconfigured Safe Place with seven common categories. You can change or delete these, and create more of your own. Each category can have from one to six custom fields.

Here are some key features of "Safe Place":
Secure - Safe Place stores your data in an encrypted format and uses your password as the encryption key. Your data can only be viewed using this password.
Custom Categories - You know what you need to store better than us. We've preconfigured Safe Place with a handful of categories just to get you started. You can change or delete these, and create more of your own. Lots more.
40 Custom Fields - Each category can have from one to forty (yes, 40) custom fields. Most password storage programs limit you to five or six fields per record.
Fast Searching - Once you've stored a few hundred (or thousand) records, how do you find what you need? With Safe Place's fast search capabilities, just type a few characters to locate any record.
Password Generator - The best way to protect yourself on the Web is to use a different password for each site. Safe Place can help you with an easy to use password generator.
Auto Lock - If you walk away from your computer with Safe Place running, it can automatically lock itself after a few minutes (you determine how long). Your data remains protected until you supply the master password.
Import Assistant - We really want you to try Safe Place, so we've created a very easy to use Import Assistant to help you get data into Safe Place.
Full Export - To make it safe to try Safe Place, we promise you can export any information you enter, even after the 30-day trial period.
Easy to Use - Safe Place's standard Mac OS X interface makes it easy to save and retrieve your important information. Online help is available, but you'll probably never bother to read it.
Powerful Database Engine - Safe Place uses the 4th Dimension database engine, allowing it to easily store hundreds of thousands of records. There's also a separate utility to recover your data in the very unlikely event it becomes damaged.

Limitations:
30 days trial.
You will be able to access data after the 30 days trial period but you will not be able to add any new records.

What's New:
[Feature] A new Credit Card Number field type has been added. Numbers entered into this type of field will be verified to ensure the number was typed correctly. You can also specify that space characters should be removed when copying the number to the clipboard. This makes it easier to paste the number into web forms that don’t allow spaces in credit card numbers. This field type is also cleared from the clipboard when the application locks or quits.
[Feature] A new Date field type has been added. A calendar button next to the field displays a small pop-up calendar when clicked. You can also modify the date by typing special characters. For example, T enters today’s date. The + and - keys will increment and decrement the date by one day. And M, N, and H can be used to jump to the beginning, middle, and end of the MoNtH.
[Feature] You can now open the selected record(s) from the Passwords list by typing Command-Down Arrow.
[Feature] The login dialog now displays a message in red text if your Caps Lock key is down when entering your master password.
[Bug Fix] A text alignment problem in the About box has been fixed.
[Bug Fix] The application now asks you if you want to save your changes to a record in which the only change was clicking a Generate Password button.
[Bug Fix] Automatically generated passwords are now more random.
[Bug Fix] Passwords copied while in the detail view are now cleared when the application locks or quits.
[Bug Fix] Fixed an obscure bug that would cause all of the password names to display as blanks in the main Password List if you set the first category object to a tab rather than a field.
[Bug Fix] Fixes a crashing problem when quitting that some users were experiencing with Tiger.
[Bug Fix] The sort order is now correct when printing records. Previously, if the Password list view was sorted by Category, the password records would print in descending order.
[Bug Fix] Changes to a Category record are now saved properly if you collapse any of the groups before saving the record.
