rooSwitch exists to make it easy for you to create different copies of almost any applications data. You then switch amongst the profiles to activate the data you wish to use. It's like a multi-user environment for just one application.
Who is it for?
• Developers - Constantly shuffling data files around as you test different environments (new user, user with lots of data, etc)? rooSwitch takes care of that shuffling for you. I wrote rooSwitch for this exact purpose. I needed help testing my other product, rooVid.
• Testers - Using beta quality software and concerned about your real data? rooSwitch makes it easy for you to create a backup of all your preferences and any other files associated with your favorite application.
• Users - Just like to know your favorite application's data is backed up safely? rooSwitch's 'duplicate' feature allows you to take snapshots of an individual applications data. Keep that applications .rooSwitch file safe and the settings that you duplicated are safe and easy to restore.
Limitations:
30 days trial.
What's New:
Switching Safari will now include Cookies as well as the files related to remembering the home page URL and downloads directory
Fixed AppleScript issues relating to overloading the verb "activate". To "activate" a profile you should now use "make active".
Fixed bug in AppleScript support where trying to quit rooSwitch after a switch would result in an incorrect warning dialog saying a switch was still in progress.
