This is the home of the Queer IRC Interface (QII).
QII is a completely free Gay.com chat client, written in Java and licensed under the GPL. You can use it to connect and interact with people on Gay.com without ever loading your browser. There are no ads, no spyware, and no nag windows.
Note that QII is currently in hibernation, as the developer has moved on to other work. If you'd like to take up the reins on this project, you can get in touch with the (current) developer via sourceforge.
Here are some key features of "Queer IRC Interface":
Buddy List (talk to your buddies, even if you are an unpaid member)
Ignore List
Profile Viewer
Away System
Logging
Tab completion
Custom Color/Font Schemes
Rooms List with Favorites and Autojoin
Ability to join only join Primary Rooms (easier hammering)
No Ads, No Nags.
What's New:
This release updates the method for authenticating users to reflect changes at Gay.com. In other words: If you haven't been able to retrieve a password hash in the options dialog, this fixes it.
1.02 is a rebuild of 1.01. I inadvertantly compiled 1.01 using Java 1.5, and therefore broke it for users who are running Java 1.4. Sorry! :o
Requirements:
An installed copy of the JRE, version 1.4.2 or higher.
