Play LiteTunes is an extremely small, and easy to use alternative to PlayMiniTunes.
Simply choose your search criteria of title, artist, or album, type in the textbox and hit Return! Presto your song is played! Just in case you don't want to switch to iTunes for controls, there are the following controls in the "Controls" menu:

-Play/Pause
-Next Track
-Previous Track
-Mute
-Shuffle
-Repeat - off, one, all
-Set Genre
-Rate Track (out of 5 stars)
-You may also open the iTunes preferences from the application menu.
