Pixel image editor has been developed by Pavel Kanzelsberger since 1997 and is still in heavy development. In 2005, the first release candidates appeared and once all the bugs are fixed, a final release may be ready by September 2005. Release Candidate 3 is already available to public. Release Candidate 4 will follow in June 2005 by latest, followed by final beta testing in July/August 2005.
Pixel has a multiplatform design and looks the same on every supported platform.
Also, every file produced with Pixel is cross-platform and can be copied files from one platform to another.

Limitations:
You may download the demonstration version and test it for 30 days.
There are only two limitations in this demo version. There is a visible watermark in all images edited with the demo and there is a small dialog that informs you about purchasing Pixel.
