Passenger is a server account creation and password generation tool that will import tab and comma-delimited text, ASIP 6.3 and Mac OS XXML and create account information and passwords for AppleShare IP5-6.3, Mac OS X Server, Macintosh Manager, Eudora Internet MailServer, WebSTAR FTP, WebSTAR Web, Master Spell and Master Key.
It includes tools migrate account folders, set permissions in batch and Eudora client settings customization and distribution.
Here are some key features of "Passenger":
Import Database Text
Passenger takes comma, colon, or tab-delimited text, Mac OS X Server & ASIP XML, or the names of folders in folders and imports names and other information to prepare for import into a server.
Name Concatenation
You can import first, last, and/or full name fields and use the menus to devise a formulation for names/usernames, short names and repeating digit usernames. Passenger will check for duplicate usernames before exporting.
Generate Passwords
Password generation is done by a tough algorithm that takes a combination of the master password and the username. Passwords created this way can be regenerated with the same master password and username. Formulation is extremely configurable and with presets for styles such as word-word or word number combination for security and easy memorization.
Set Account Parameters
It allows you to setup parameters for several servers or create your own parameters using the custom text setup.
Export for Servers & Eudora Client Settings
Exports for Mac OS X Server, Macintosh Manager, Eudora client settings customization and distribution, WebSTAR FTP, WebSTAR Web, Master Spell, Master Key, and user-defined customized export.
Create Folders
Using the either name or short names you may generate folders with those names including nesting user folders in group folders. You may even include to put folder names of your choice within these folders such as "Documents" and "Preferences" for Macintosh Manager.
Migrate Account Folders
Move documents and preferences from one set of account folders to another. Even if their names changed (such as to short names), it is possible to move files to their new home. And once you get them there
Limitations:
Only 20 users can be imported at a time.
What's New:
Changes to delmited export including removal of legacy pre-tag support, allowing non-tag literals to export again, and a possible fix to the tag sometimes improperly exporting
Added four SMB fields to import and delimited export
Fixes display problem on selecting import fields
