PaperCut NG for Mac is a print quota, charging, logging and monitoring tool designed for multi-user networks.
The software has been in use in Windows environments since 1999 and this is PaperCut Software's first Mac release. The software works by integrating via CUPS and supports advanced feature such as popup client, share accounts, print job filtering based on document attributes, LDAP integration, and release station for secure printing. The Mac version has all the same features as the successful Windows and Linux versions.

What's New:
This is a eight release issued during the Mac testing program and includes the following main updates:
Improvements to the speed and reliability of the LDAP/OpenDirectory interface on very large networks. Large queries are now batched in retrieval blocks of 900 records.
Much improved popup performance on busy print queues. PaperCut now hooks into CUPS at a lower level earlier in the print flow process. This means that the popup (account selection or authentication dialog) will now appear as soon as the job enters the queue rather than when the job is ready to print.
